Set Eyes On Ethnic Diversity in the Norwegian workplace!

In many Norwegian workplaces, the biggest challenges regarding cultural diversity revolve around differences in hierarchy, communication, feedback, decision-making, and social norms. What is considered normal behavior in Norway is not something people reflect on daily, however international employees may struggle with the informality and autonomy expected in Norway, while Norwegians may find it difficult to adjust to different expectations from their international leaders and colleagues.

Understanding these differences and adapting communication and leadership styles can enhance collaboration, reduce misunderstandings, and create a more inclusive workplace that leverages diversity as a strength. 

Who is this workshop for and What's in it for you?

This workshop is designed for anyone working in a multicultural environment, whether as a leader, colleague, or HR representative. By attending this workshop you will gain an awareness of how cultural differences, communication styles and your own unconscious biases affect workplace interactions and shape team dynamics. You will be provided with an arena for reflection, discussion, and practical solutions on how to navigate and leverage cultural diversity in a professional setting.

On a professional level:

• You'll develop strategies to improve cross-cultural communication, enhance team engagement, and reduce misunderstandings. 
• Learn from real-life experiences of leaders and HR professionals.
• Gain practical tools to improve collaboration and inclusion to build a We culture, instead of a ´Us versus them´ mindset.

• Self-awareness plays a role in recognizing your own unconscious biases and how your actions and words impact others. 
• Learn how to build stronger relationships across cultures.
• Develop skills that contribute to a more inclusive and respectful work environment.
